thank you so much for reading my hub, i have been watching the news of Japan since the first night it happened, it was about 1am and i have been obsessively watching the news most of every day except for sleep. My heart goes out to you, and Americans like me are feeling your pain, all those people lost, what a harsh thing from Mother Nature, so senseless but I hope you are finding food, are people in Tokyo going to work if they have homes, or is every one off until things get better. My heart goes out to you having a hard time in lines to get food. Now i can read your hubs too. as i am a follower. I worked 35 years in service to people with disabilities, and now i have multiple sclerosis, my right leg is weak and i was able to retire, now i am writing a novel from my journals from the seventies, and loving the time off to read, write and just be at peace. I have a wheelchair to go out to community or i use my walker. My life used to be very stressful i was on call twenty four hours a day to get calls from the disabled folks who lived in their own apartments. We are still friends and they call me and let me know how they are doing. I am living in Oregon but 25 yrs ago i moved out from Wisconsin which has harsh winters, here in oregon the willamette valley is close to the pacific so we rarely get snow. I have a Japanese Snow bell tree which i was told many people in Japan have as it rarelys nows there too, and when the white blossoms are on the tree it looks like snow. I worked five years as a forester living in tents and measuring the trees for the forest service moving all over the state of oregon. What a life that was. i just scanned my novel that i wrote in the early eighties and its been sitting in a box for 25 years. Read some of my stories on my hub.
